I have encountered plenty of kinds of trophies already and I have noticed that they vary in form due to different aspects like culture, tradition and other factors. As a matter of fact, as I do my own research on trophies, I have also found out that they are not only different from the outside, but also from the inside and this transcends beyond physical properties of the object. What I mean is that the forms of trophies have also specific meaning to a different group of people that may not be the same meaning for another group.

For you to grasp my argument, I will be illustrating to you some examples how and why the trophies vary in form and essence.

First, in the recent years, there is a universal factor why trophies are different in forms whether physical or something else. I am talking about the leveling. If you are watching several competitions, you will notice that the trophies being given to the winners are different. Because there is the third placer, the second placer and of course the first placer, which is regarded as the one who performed the best in any competition.

Aside from that, the trophies also vary in physical properties like the size. There are some competitions that put their trophies in standard sizes, regardless the leveling of the awards. On the other hand, there are also some organizers of awarding ceremony, especially in sports events, which put their trophies in varying sizes. The usual sizes would be that the third placer will be the smallest among the three top spots or winners while the champion will take home the biggest trophy.

When it comes to the physical property, it is also somehow universal in all legitimate and international competitions that their trophies vary in color or composition. Usually, the color or composition shall match the level of the award or the prestige of it. For example, in almost all awarding, the best who performed in an event will be awarded a golden trophy, whether in the form of challis or something else.

Last, but certainly will not be the least among the factors why trophies vary in form, is the essence of the object. You know that objects have different meanings in different societies. Hence, an object also has different valuation as well. For example, there are some awarding events that put their icon on the trophy. Some of the good example of these are the Golden Dove, Golden Globe, the Oscars and many more.
